NOTICE: OWEB WEB SITE UPDATE
Over the past year, OWEB has updated its Strategic Plan and embarked on an effort to improve its communication tools. As part of that effort, we want to inform you of some web site changes that are underway.
First, OWEB is making adjustments to our web site. The changes are intended to consolidate existing pages, add new information, and improve functionality. Implementation of changes began in January. Other changes will become live by the end of March and will be found at www.oregon.gov/OWEB.
Second, OWEB is developing a simpler, streamlined “portal” web site designed to provide information for audiences who are not familiar with the watershed restoration efforts underway around Oregon that are funded in part by OWEB. The new site will be launched in the near future at www.healthywatersheds.org.
Over the spring, OWEB will perform a usability analysis to consider ways to better integrate and improve the functionality of these web sites. We want to know how we can make our web-based tools most useful from the perspective of our customers. As part of our usability analysis, we will contact grantees and other stakeholders to get their input and ideas. Our overall goal is to improve the utility of our web site for our grantees and stakeholders, and to effectively reach out to a broader audience about the projects and partnerships that we support.
Over the coming weeks, if you come across something on the main web site that is not clear or doesn’t work, or if you have a suggestion for improvements, please contact Ashley Seim at ashley.seim@state.or.us or (503) 986-0186. In addition, if you have questions or comments on the portal site, please contact Carolyn Devine at carolyn.devine@state.or.us or call (503) 986-0195.
We appreciate your patience during the transition, and encourage you to share your ideas on how we can make our web site best serve your needs.
Thank you.
