The Bridge Creek Watershed Council, continuing a solid partnership with the Wheeler Soil & Water Conservation District, assisted in the grant process and implementation of four fish-friendly irrigation structures replacing push-up dams; three irrigation efficiency projects restoring flow in Bridge Creek; one pre-commercial thinning project improving forest health; and removing 110 acres of juniper to improve upland native grasses. The Council also participated in the Wheeler County Medusahead Working Group helping to host four meetings that provided education, organization, and coordination of landowner projects.
