The Councils meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7am.
The Coos Watershed Association developed a watershed restoration plan for lowland tributary streams in the Coos Bay Estuary as a result of Oregon Sea Grant involvement. The resulting document, Coos Bay Lowlands Assessment & Restoration Plan (2005), provides an excellent model for the thorough analysis of comprehensive assessment data (physical, biological, and social-economic), and includes a rigorous process to identify and prioritize potential watershed restoration actions. The “coffee klatches,” a public outreach component of the project, were successful beyond all anticipation.
