Grande Ronde Model Watershed Program

1114 "J" Avenue
LA GRANDE, OR 97850

Coordinator:  Jeff Oveson
E-mail: jeff@grmw.org

Website: www.grmw.org

The council meets everyon fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm alternating between Wallowa and Elgin.

Just in the early stages, the Catherine Creek Tributary/Reach Assessment, with principal funding and technical assistance provided by Bureau of Reclamation, will be the most exhaustive of all assessments conducted in the basin. More than 120 landowners have agreed to cooperate with the assessment partners (BOR, ODFW, Union SWCD & GRMW) while geomorphic and habitat surveys, topographic surveys, FLIR data collection and other data gathering lead to the development of geomorphic model and site specific project locations where the needs of agriculture, fish and wildlife can be combined.
