The council meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6pm.

One program the Council is especially excited about is their part in the Intensively Monitored Watershed (IMW) in the upper Middle Fork John Day River.  This collaboration includes over 20 local, state and federal agencies, private landowners, tribal governments, and Universities.  It is part of a network of IMWs being created throughout the Pacific Northwest to track watershed conditions over the next ten years and look at changes over time; measuring the effectiveness of restoration activities and land management practices currently taking place.  Initiated in 2008, the NFJDWC is focused on overall coordination, data management, temperature, macroinvertebrate, and meteorological monitoring.
