The Council meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at 1545 SE 30th St in Taft.

This biennium the council was most proud of accomplishing restoration of the Tamara Quays Trailer Park site.  This portion of the Salmon River estuary had been filled and paved over.  The Rowdy Creek tributary had diked and ditched.  The SDCWC, USFS, and partners removed the dikes, paving, and infrastructure, rechanneled Rowdy Creek to its original path, planted trees, and installed a box culvert upstream.  This project had immediate benefit to wildlife- we watched a salmon swim upstream the moment we removed the last barrier, a delapidated tide gate.
