Sandy River Basin Watershed Council

PO BOX 868
SANDY, OR  97055  Coordinator:  Russ Plaeger  rplaeger@yahoo.com

See our new website! www.sandyriver.org
The Council meets the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30pm at the Clackamas County Bank Auditorium in Sandy.

The Sandy River Basin Watershed Council has been implementing projects identified as high priority in the restoration strategy recently developed by the council and the Sandy River Basin Partners. Tree planting and projects to create off-channel habitat address factors that limit salmon production and survival. During the council’s 10th Anniversary in 2007 they’ll celebrate the

removal of PGE’s Marmot Dam. In 2005, 124 volunteers from local high schools distributed more than ten tons of salmon carcasses as part of their large scale nutrient supplementation project.
