The Council meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm at 2550 Hillsboro Highway.
The Council was especially excited about its partnership with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department as it develops its new L.L. ‘Stub’ Stewart State Park. This past year, Council members and other volunteers completed a preliminary inventory of 27 culverts within the park through which upper West Fork Dairy Creek and its tributaries flow. Working with many partners, they obtained a technical assistance grant for design and permitting to remove two culverts, replace one culvert, and perform a stream survey to determine large wood debris needs and placement. Their plan is to obtain funding to remove the two culverts and enhance stream reaches in the summer of 2007.
Council members and other volunteers are briefed on performing culvert assessments at L.L.'Stub' Stewart State Park
