Tualatin River Watershed Council

PO BOX 338
HILLSBORO, OR  97123-0338   Coordinator:  April Olbrich
E-mail: trwc@easystreet.net

The Council meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm at 2550 Hillsboro Highway.

The Council is especially excited about a partnership with a Gales Creek private landowner, Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District, Clean Water Services, Henderson Land Services, Waterways Consulting, LLC, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.  The partnership designed and implemented a project in 2009 that provides additional habitat for amphibians by removing a farm road in the floodplain, digging three ponds and planting 2.5 acres in native shrubs and trees.  The project also placed six log and boulder structures in Gales Creek that created pool areas that native fish are using.
