The Council meets the second Thursday of each month at 6pm.
This year the Council was especially proud of its work in monitoring water quality in the North Yamhill Sub-Watershed.  The Council has been monitoring temperature and water quality in their streams since 1998.  The current North Yamhill Water Quality Monitoring Project alone brought in over 400 volunteer hours this last year, engaging local residents, college students, and landowners in collecting valuable stream data.  Volunteers help the technician collect data on temperature, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, stream flow, physical habitat, and macroinvertebrates.   The data collected will be used in identifying restoration needs, developing Total Maximum Daily Loads, and understanding baseline water quality in the streams. The project has been invaluable in recruiting, educating, and engaging the community as volunteers, resulting in new Council members and on the ground restoration projects.
