are aware of recent news coverage about the presence of trace amounts of
pharmaceuticals and endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in water. As a result
of this coverage, the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Transportation Safety,
Infrastructure Security, and Water Quality held a hearing entitled,
"Pharmaceuticals in the Nation's Water: Assessing Potential Risks and Actions to
Address the Issue," on Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
To help
equip you to respond at the local level should you deem it necessary, the National Ground Water Association (www.ngwa.org) has prepared some materials on
